Our Purpose
ASWSU Student Legal Services (SLS) is a student run office created to service the legal needs for current students at Washington State University, free of charge. SLS is funded through the Associate Students of Washington State University. Our attorney Wynn Mosman provides legal advice and counseling. Mr. Mosman is licensed to practice in the state of Washington and Idaho.
The primary function of Student Legal Services is to offer legal advice to students, however because we are funded through the university we are not capable of representation against another student, faculty member or the university. But each case is evaluated on an individual basis and if a conflict of interest arises, we will do our best to refer students to the appropriate services.
Procedures
To schedule an appointment, students must come to the office in person. Consultations are free, and are unlimited for the students. They last for 30 minutes; are confidential, and if the attorney is needed outside of the free consultations, his services are discounted 35%.
